LaFayette Family Reunion

A party to celebrate 4 Generations of African American immigrants on the western prairies took place the Canada Day Long Weekend at the Clymont Hall near Acheson, AB. Over 200 descendants of Black Pioneers gathered together and it was a thing of beauty! Children running here and there, smiles and laughter everywhere, the weather was perfect, the elders did not complain and I happily set out a crowd pleasing spread of deserts and snacks x2.

For the Registration Refreshment Table -
Apples & Bananas,
Sesame snacks,
Almond thins,
Brownies,
Carrot cake,
Lemon bars,
Date bars,
Pecan bars,
Lime melt away cookies,
Sugar Cookies
and those delicious cinnamon swirls from Costco.

Since a number or guest parked their RV's on site for the weekend, these snacks were GONE by midnight.

Picnic Snack Table -
Homemade Chex Mex Mix,
Rice Krispie Squares with Fruit Loops,
$.05 candy bags,
Mini cupcakes
Popsicles all of which were a big hit with the children of all ages.

I love Family Reunions and feel so fortunate that I have such a HUGE family!

xoxo
